woot woot!

Regionals was so much fun!!! I'll give you all a quick summary, just to fill ya in. :) Thursday we had 4 rounds of speech, which was rough, but we managed. We went out to papa ginos for dinner and many pictures were taken.  Back at the hotel, we were sad to find out that our room was on a different floor than the rest of my people, so we had to commute...but it wasn't too bad, elevators are nifty things!

Friday, the rest of my family came to watch us, and we went back and forth to the hotel to go swimming with everyone between rounds. My fam stayed for the 'banquet' and waited till they announced breaks. I broke in Open, Humorous and Duo. I'll let Abby tell you what she broke in...it's more fun when you get to tell everyone! The Marcouilliers broke in their duo too, so we were SOOO excited!!

The last day was sort of bittersweet, some of my friends didn't break, so a lot of them went home, which wasn't fun; but we found out that we broke to finals in our duo, and the Marcs did too, so there was much rejoicing: *woooooo*   lol  That afternoon we all went back to the hotel and swam for the last time, and then went to the mall for food. :) I left my bathing suit at the hotel, which stinks, but they have it, so I hope I get it back soon! *little side note there* That night they had awards, and I got 3rd in my HI and then Abby and I got 2nd in our duo, so we were very happy! After awards, we went to a little smoothie cafe thing for like 30 mins, just to say bye to everyone and get some nifty drinks!  lol

So now we're in the process of stressing about getting money to try and make it to nationals in TX, so I'll let you know about that one.  This weekend is the homeschool conference thing, and Bobbi and I are going to try to make it for the Friday, so we'll see how that goes. I hope everything is good with everyone! I'll put pictures up from regionals later...this computer is acting up, so it's not letting me. Love you guys! Peace   

Hey hey!

So this week was just FULL of drama! FIRST, my Sammy was injured, and nearly gave me a heart attack!! (we're still prayin for ya, Sam! ) THEN, just yesterday, my sister was playing in the street and nearly got hit by a car, when I dove and snatched her away, landing hard on my elbow and my knee and hip...... ok, so that's not what really happened, but it sounds better than what really went down. (lol me...)  *thank you James, for that alternate story*

K, so I was going for a nice jog on the last nice day of the week, I had just started, was listening to my new Anberlin CD on my iPod and getting all pumped, when SUDDENLY...out of NOWHERE... came my stupid flippin foot. It decided it wanted to get all caught up in my pant leg on it's way down, and bring me along with it. So that's what it did. Thankfully I hadn't gotten to the main road yet.... and another blessing was that my pants didn't fall down along with me, lol. So I guess there is a bright side to it all..... yea, I got all bumped up and bruised, and I thought I broke my arm. I've never broken anything before, and I wasn't sure....so my mom took me to the ER for some x-rays (why the heck aren't doctor's offices open on weekends?!?!) and they couldn't see if I had a fracture because it was pretty swollen, so they stuck me in a sling for the next week-ish and I'm going back in 9 days. I guess I just sprained it really badly.

But oooooh my gosh....I would have killed to see myself fall!! It must have looked so funny! I wasn't really thinking that when it actually happened, but now....wow lol. I was all bouncing along then *BLAM* *bounce*.... "Aaaaaand she's up again, and running like nothing even happened!"  I got up cuz I couldn't believe I had actually just done that, so I was up, DOWN, and up again...then I was like, "my knee really hurts...I think I'm done ." So I went home. Hahahahaha, I swear, if someone had video taped it, I would pay BIG money for a copy!! 

So now I'm basically fine and dandy, a little sore, but that was my little episode of the week. Absolutely hysterical.

Thursday is regionals, and I'm so excited! I can't wait to stay in a hotel and goof off in the hallways! That's all I really do speech for. lol jkjk, but it's a big reason....like one of the top 5. It's pretty pathetic.

Check out the new song at the bottom of my page...I still can't figure out how to play songs when you first come on to the page, so you'll have to do it manually. :) It's by Anberlin...they're a GREAT band, I hope you love them and buy a CD, cuz they're fantastic!! lol They are considered a Christian band, but their lyrics are pretty random. They're not BAD lyrics, they're pretty deep, but I'm guessing the artists themselves are Christian and not so much the stuff they sing about, but I love them anyway.

So our trip to FL was great! Way too short though...we got home and there was snow an the ground! NOT a pleasant sight. Ahh well, I'm glad to be back and to see everyone! I missed you guys! *brilliant idea* how bout we all move down to FL?!?! Best of both worlds, eh?? Aaaany way... here are some new pictures!

K, funny story! Look closely at Bobbi's face...my dad was like, "Oop, Bobbi's paying the bill tonight!" and we kinda laughed it off, so at the end of the meal, my dad told the waitress to hand Bobbi the check...and she's kinda like..."whaaa?...."

So those are the pics! Sorry if I haven't been responding to comments very quickly, I recently joined 'facebook' and i've been.... well, 'addicted' is a strong word.... how bout, 'enthralled'? So yea, I've been getting that all set up....but now I'm back in business!

K, so I have a story: Last week, I was picking my sisters up from their art class, and I had Bobbi with me. So we get there, I'm like, "K, get in the car..." And their (guy...dad) teacher is like, "Hey look! All the girls get together! Let's get a picture 'for your mom'!" so I'm like, weird... but ok... So he takes us outside...where it's windy, and my bangs are blowing everywhere, making me look bald...and he takes like 20 pics of us!! Mind you, I had only met this guy when I dropped the girls off at class, and it was just like, "hey... k guys, be good" So he's clicking away, "oop, wrong setting, oop, you blinked..." So we're almost done when he says, "You, in the back, (me) you keep blinking." So I was like, "Ok, sorry" and I didn't blink for the next picture. Then he says, "*gaaah* you blinked again!!" and I hadn't!! so I was like, "No I didn't!!" and he said, "Oh...you're right...I guess that's just the way your eyes are...."  Thaaaaaaaaanks.  *am I some kind of monster??* So the photo shoot was brought to a close, finally!! And that's my story...I was kind of weirded out...and the girls went to class again today, and he hadn't 'printed them yet' he told my mom....so don't know when we're going to see these ridiculous pictures. But that's it.
